About Michael Russo

I am a tech entrepreneur.

My primary technical interests are distributed systems, highly-scalable web architectures, mobile computing, computer security, and embedded hardware.

I’m a co-founder and CTO of Polar. (We formerly went by the name Polar Mobile.)

I’ve worked on security features for Windows 7 at Microsoft, security and virtualization research at PARC, embedded sensor networks at Sun Labs, and RF networks at Bell Mobility. I have a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

I’m also an aspiring screenwriter, amateur photographer, green tea aficionado, student of Shaolin Kung Fu, and snowboarder.
