About

I'm Michael Russo — a husband, father, and entrepreneur.

My primary technical interests are distributed systems, highly-scalable web architectures, and mobile computing.

I’m a co-founder and CTO of Polar. (We formerly went by the name Polar Mobile.)

I’ve worked on security features for Windows 7 at Microsoft, security and virtualization research at PARC, embedded sensor networks at Sun Labs, and RF networks at Bell Mobility. I have a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

My hobbies include screenwriting, taking photos, and writing code.

You can reach me via email at hi@mjrusso.com.
